R.C. church records Co.Tyrone .....

Post by CathieL » Fri May 26, 2006 12:20 am

Hi
Does anyone know the name of the Roman Catholic church in Caledon ( which I am assuming is a village) Co. Tyrone. My grandfather was born there in 1864 or 1865 and I am trying to find any record of his birth.

Hi Cathie

If Caledon was a small village i wonder if it was possible that the nearest Catholic Church was this - 1805 Roman Catholic Chapel erected in townland of Derrygooley Found on ................. http://www.caledon.org.uk/timeline.php

Thanks Tracey
I googled that website a long time ago and there was not much on it, but I tried it again when you mentioned it and it seems to be updated quite a bit, it even has a guest book. I will give it another go and maybe, just maybe I will get something on this elusive man before he drives me totally round the bend
