LAWERANCE GALBRAITH .....

I am looking for any information on the galbraith family from ireland.

I have found out that a lawrance galbrith went to america on bought a field, a now someone wants to buy it. As any one got any information on this please, or any general info on the family.

As i am a grandson of the late mary and george galbraith from downpartrick.

Sorry you've not had a reply yet to your post. You'll appreciate that most of the folk on this site are looking for Scottish ancestors, but that doesn't mean we won't try to help people searching in other areas.

i am john smyth from london i am researching the smith/smyth family my grandmother was from down patrick her name was bridget savage she married a man called malcom smith/smyth.from campbeltown scotland they got married at a place called dunsford/dunsfort near downpatrick on searching in the scotland records i find the name galbraith quite often one married to a smith on the island of gigha so it might be a help if you tried the scottish records here is a snipet from the head stone in kilchatten church yard 1860 in memory of donald galbraith who died at tarbert gigha on12 of dec 181856 age 74and his wife elizabeth smithwho died 7th aprilage 75 this family are listed on the 1841 census .. if i can help in any way with your search please dont hesitate to ask...best wishes john smyth
