I am looking for the DIAMOND family.

Isabella DIAMOND married in Scotland in 1914.
Her parents were Michael & Rose Ann DIAMOND.
According to my aunt, the family were from Belfast, also remained there after Isabella came to Scotland. Her father, Michael is noted as deceased on marriage cert.

I have found only one close match which is Portrush. Michael DIAMOND & Rose Ann ROBINSON. Found 3 birth records for their children so far, Joseph, Elizabeth and unnamed femle b 1874.(bit early).

Can anybody help find this family!

i read your message as i noticed the name of Chalmers a name i am researching
have you had a look at Jean McCarthy's web site?
there's a family of Diamond's listed in the 1901 census there .I noticed a Bella ?looks like father is Michael age 70 and a mother Rose 60

Michael 21 Alex 16 Lily 14 Bella 11 William 9 and a Martha 23 the family are at 65 Main street .i think this is in Portrush [http:freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jeanmccarthy36/index2.html]

Hello Amanda,

A parent search of the IGI Michael DIAMOND and Rose brings an extracted birth of Rose Ann DIAMOND 16th March 1865 in Bushmills, Antrim and Joseph DIMOND born 1870. There is also a James and Elizabeth.
Parents are Michael DI(A)MOND and Rose Ann Robinson.

Regarding the CHALMERS family, mine are mainly form Clackmannan.
Please do let me know if you are researching the same area. I have got along quite nicely with this line so far.

It is a very useful site as there doesn't seem to be much online for Irish genealogy, unless i just haven't found it yet of course

have you had a look at
www.caora.net / there is a message board on there for the different counties.Antrim will cover Portrush area .and lots to explore!!!

my trace of Chalmers is she was recorded as being born in Leith. (an Elizabeth Chalmers father William around 1854.

Re Chalmers. Try this site, it is a whole list of Chalmers mainly form Clackmannan. Kinross areas but there is a guest book there too so you never know you might hit lucky!
