Due to there being two Register Offices and two large Archival sources in the island of Ireland, it can be very confusing for the researcher moving into Irish research after working on Scots research, especially as some of the data is duplicated in more than one depository!
(I'm sure I can't be the only one whose head is spinning!! :roll: )
