Yes, since the SSDI doesn't give the day of death, it's hard to know how close the deaths were... but it was the same month! :shock:

I guess there really is no 1956 rule. They’ve just got to be dead and if that’s the case, and there are no other complications then everything’s ok within reason.

Hi Alan,
I think "within reason" is the key phrase here! No one likes to suddenly find that they are up on the internet being discussed on a genealogy forum* :lol: Not to speak of the identity theft problems, with mother's maiden name the standard identifying "secret" still for many bank accounts, etc. I must admit, for all my delving into other people's relatives, I did feel peculiar seeing my recently deceased parents suddenly appearing on the SSDI for all to see... So certainly understand why others wouldn't want their living rellies up there!

*Actually happened to me... someone unknown to me had put up three generations of living people! I was consoled by the fact that she had made serious errors in the facts about my children, and thus no one could have found them from her information :roll:
