Holly Cow, this just keeps getting better and better

Thanks Just Jean for pointing this out to me. Just goes to show us that we can't leave any rock unturned. Ah what a tragic ending to such a promising soul!

Marilyn

Hi Marilyn,

Both the July 29 and Sep. 1 articles are on my list. Both are football mentions. Missed the reference to Jac Kerouac, but I was just skimming articles.

Hello Marilyn and All,

I tried Arthur’s brothers Leo, Charles and Walter but unfortunately nothing came up in the N.Y. Times, L.A. Times, Chicago Tribune, Washington Post etc that I can access.

Try a reverse google. Search for “longtin Arthur” etc. including the quotes. You probably know about it but I stumbled across this site http://library.uml.edu/clh/index.Html If you click on the search at the top right you’ll get about 20 results for Longtin taken from local newspapers.

All the best,
Alan

Hi Jean,

The only "beatnick" I can remember was Bob Denver "Maynard" from the Dobie Gillis show and that had to be in reruns.

Hi Carol,

 I just opened your email and couldn't believe the list, wow! The dates aren't too far apart so quite a few will be on the same roll of film. I'll copy as many as time will allow and send for the rest if need be. Top on my list are the 5 pictures, 2 golf clipping and the info on Raymond and a follow up of his car accident. Thanks for those dates, Carol, greatly appreciated...

Hi Currie,

I was aware of http://library.uml.edu/clh/index.Html in fact its where I found my first genealogy document that lead me back to Scotland. It was the DC of my gg gf Matthew Morning which listed his parents names and his birthplace. The link to Lowell Mills is very interesting, especially the info on Lowell Girls. Some of the women in my family were Lowell Mill Girls. Thanks for posting the link!

Regards
Marilyn

Don't mention it Marilyn! This time last year you were driving around some questionable neighborhoods in downtown Providence getting pictures of the house where my father was born for me!

One of the great things about TS is that we do help each other!

Hi Carol,

I totally agree!!!! I enjoy helping folk who may not have the opportunity to visit RI and snap a few pictures. One lady from Sidney still thanks me years later for helping her find the unmarked grave of her g gf here in RI. :)

Hi Carol,

OK I have my roll of quarters ready for all those copies and I'm off to the Lowell Library in the morning. Thanks again for sending me those dates and I'll be sure to keep you updated. :D

Happy hunting!
