Hi Girls
The meet was sadly all too short and sweet for me and i was slightly jealous of you all going off to Ellis Island.
What a shame the rain spoilt it but it was a hefty rain storm by all accounts. I didnt see it as we were facing away from the window but we did wonder why the fair was suddenly quiet

!
I have just literally arrived back home and stuggling to stay awake. Jean, i only wish i had taken a bigger suit case as a few shelves would be empty in that store by now !
It was
really good to meet you all if only for a short while, and who knows maybe we will do it all again someday
Have a nice day !

Hi Tracey
It's wonderful to know you're back on terra firma! As it worked out that none of us got to visit Ellis Island

then I would say there is a very high probabilitiy that NYC has not seen the last of us.

I hope you can come back for the next one.....maybe even bring some more UKites with you
Get some sleep
Best wishes
Jean

Jean,
Goodness, thought we needed to get a booster shot for a minute.

Wow you and Allison had such a long day on Saturday. Maybe next time we should take a ferry out of Connecticut, only I'm not sure at the moment where it would land in New York? Who knows maybe we can talk SarahND into joining us? Or for that matter anyone else who can find their way to New York.
Hi Tracey,
Welcome back! Hopefully you had a successful sales weekend and you didn't use that "term" I told ya about, when someone is trying to talk down the price.

It was lovely meeting up with you and look forward to the next time.
Regards
Marilyn

Hi Tracey,
Lets face it, a cheap skate is a cheap skate. Next time mark the items up 10%, as you had mentioned in New York and then give the cheap skates a 10% discount. That way everyone thinks they have out foxed the other.
Regards
Marilyn

SarahND would be more likely to be talked into meeting in the Maine woods

Or, for example, in Deerfield where several of her ancestors were killed or scalped
The only time I have ever been to New York (summer of 1977), there was a blackout

and I had 5 hours to pick up my tickets to India at a travel agent on the 8th floor of a building that was shut down because of the power failure. It all worked out in the end... but didn't leave me with the desire to go back
Cheers,
Sarah

Maine woods are do-able!

....as is historic Deerfield but that's about a 4 hour drive.... but no worse than the NYC train trip

I had a few that lost their topknots too....and at least one female rellie who survived it.....Mary Magdalen Hilton b. abt 1673....but that's another story.....
Best wishes
Jean
