Mark your calendars - From the Ontario Library Association announcing a related course comes the great news of a new TV series starting next month!
"Who Do You Think You Are debuts on CBC Television on October 11th at 7:30 pm. Based on a popular British series that is now in its fourth year, this joint venture of the CBC and Library and Archives Canada will have your patrons at your door champing at the bit to trace their family history. In the program each week, prominent Canadians such as Margot Kidder, Don Cherry, Avi Lewis, Measha Brueggergosman, Mary Walsh, Randy Bachman and Scott Thompson go on a search to discover their family histories. "
Good news for our friends in the border states able to pick up the CBC.

The Home Page for the show is here http://www.cbc.ca/whodoyouthinkyouare/
There's quite a lot of information about the show including behind-the-scenes videos. (which my slowish broadband connection struggles to play). You can download these flash videos using a variety of free browser plug-ins.
It looks as though a story about the outcome of each show will be included once the show has been presented.
CBC Canada appears to be screening episodes of Dr Who online (I couldn’t get it to work for me) so maybe WDYTYA Canada will appear online later on. A big maybe.
