Hi All,

The Kansas State Historical Society has created a site to share its historical collections via the Internet. You can access the site at: http://www.kansasmemory.org/

Thanks Ina,

A very interesting and well laid out site. Definitely worth a good browse.

Great photos, not just for Kansas people.

If your searches lead you to Kansas, I can also recommend:

http://skyways.lib.ks.us/genweb/index.html

You can rummage through single counties or search the whole state.

I have a couple of "missing persons", definitely "road workers" according to the 1901 Census that were heading to Kansas in the belief that there was plenty of work involving a "Yellow Brick Road", that have not been seen since, any clues anyone?

I'd like to be apathetic but I really can't be bothered.

Looking for blacksheep & not finding any with
Groats & Stevensons in Orkney, Hood's in Dundee/Angus, Mclaren's in Clackmannan and Jolly's in Kincardineshire. There may be more!

Jack, I've checked a few sources for you and I don't think they're in Kansas anymore.

Heymarky,

These 'sources' weren't a Tin Man, a Scarerow or a Cowardly Lion were they?

Wouldn't trust any of them as far as I could throw a..............oh a Wicked Witch of the ..... not bothered which direction, you choose.

Jack

That's my last Oz comment, honest.

Hi Jack,

Just a thought but could a house have landed on this family? It could explain their disapperance?
