When I first started this expensive hobby the first person I looked for was Samuel Richardson who left Glasgow for the US and all I know of him is he never married and when he died, I think it was just before the War, he left his money to his brother Robert, and as he was deceased it was passed to his children one of whom was my mother.
I have never been able to discover the State he lived in and with whom. Until I find something to start with I cannot find his death. If someone who is lucky enough to have Ancestry would be good enough to see if Joseph Richardson, born Milton Glasgow is there I would be eternally grateful.

I gave your post its own topic, so it wouldn't get lost at the bottom of the other thread about passports. Do you have any more information about Samuel and his brother, e.g. their birth dates? Is Joseph another brother or did you mean to type "Samuel" in the last sentence?
