Ellis Island - At last!

Post by rye470 » Fri Apr 25, 2008 2:53 am

To the ladies of the ill fated "Ellis Island Trip". :(

Big Day Tomorrow. :D

For the first time since last June I have a whole day to myself. Stewart is going to work with his dad for 'Take your kids to work day', and Lorna is in Paris on a school trip, so I'm all on my own. So what am I going to do with myself all day - eezy peezy lemon squeezy - Ellis Island of course. \:D/

All by myself. Nobody wanting to know "what's that?", how much longer?,"are you finished yet?, mum, I need the bathroom". Sheer Bliss.

It would have been better to have had your company ladies. It is always nice to share something with others who 'appreciate' the experience, but as that's not possible, I'd rather be on my own.

Do you think I'm just a wee bit excited?

Enjoy yourself, Christine. I'm sure Marilyn and Tracey will be extremely jealous and drooling with envy, but I'm sure they wouldn't give up the time you were able to spend together last summer.

I've only sailed past it myself, but hopefully, I'll get to see it close up at some future date. I wonder if it looked as grand from a ship a hundred years ago, as it did 5 years ago, when I saw it?

It will be awesome, I'm sure.
