Ok, silly question but what does the D.C stand for after Washington ?
On ships manifests i have someone going to Washington after Washington it says what looks like Comm ? which made me wonder what the D.C was

or just knowing what the Comm is would be useful

Scotland - Donaldson / Moggach / Shaw / Geddes / Sim / Gray / Mackie / Richards / Joel / Coull / Mckimmie / Panton / McGregor
Ireland and Scotland - Casey / McDade / Phillips / McCandle / Dinely / Comaskey + various spellings

Hi Tracey,
Short note as I'm dashing off to the office.
Remember here in the US we have the State of Washington (West Coast of the US) and Washington, D.C. (East Coast of the US)
Regards
Marilyn
