Argentina research

There's a site which comes up in the sticky about research links but I think it deserves to be noted separately. It's got some excellent information about Scots in Argentina, including BDMs.

Hi Muriel:

There are also some links in the TalkingScot Library in the Section on The Americas http://talkingscot.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=39

Argentina

Argentinean connections is most informative with much information about UK settlers and many helpful links. Indexed records of 19th and 20th century emigration.

With so many new members, it is worthwhile bringing this useful library of sources and information to the forefront. Thanks for making a light go on!

Hi Frances and Muriel.

I don´t see the 1895 Argentine census in the stickies (perhaps I am just being as my wife says "a goodish looker, a bad finder") but the link is here:
http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsea ... ;c=1410078
Transcription is not completed yet, but 60-70% results are online. They have also started on the 1869 census.

Guid hunting,

Thrall

Not bringing up anything for me yet Thrall but I'll keep checking. I can't be too anxious I only discovered there was possible family in Argentina about 2 days ago!
