Hi All,
Have never done any research in America before, but as Ancestry had their free offer, thought I would look for some of my LOCHIEL's that I could not find in Scotland.
Found in the 1880 census for Allegheny, Allegheny, Pennsylvania:
Christina LOCHIEL age 45 b Scot.
I'm not even sure if she is mine as the age is out by 10 years, and the only place I have her is the 1841 census as 15, so possibly she died in Scotland before 1855. The reason for my interest in her is that here mother is born in Ireland which is where I know mine was born.
This was the only record I could find for her on Ancestry. Would anyone please be able to find a death for this Christina?
Karen McCubbin
thanks

G'Day Karen,
My best advise would be to contact a volunteer at RAOGK and request this lookup. It may take a few weeks or so, but at least you may find the answer you looking for. Here's the link
