Anyone researching in Tasmania .....

Just to let anyone researching in Tasmania know that I have a copy of a publication by Bothwell Historical Society for the Australian Bi Centennial year, of most residents who were born or died there up to about 1960.

It does not give detailed information on people, but gives sources for what info there is. There are well over 1,000 names mentioned

It might for instance give as much as birth and death dates, any family, anything of note known, any convicts assigned to them etc. or might just give their name and death date.

I also have a publication which is called Federation and Beyond which covers the history of Bothwell from Federation year up to Federation anniversary and covers the history, people etc, during that time.

Bothwell in its prime was a very active self sufficient garrison village serving the central highlands area. There are several descendants of the original settlers still living there.
