NSW Registers of Coroners Inquests 1796-1942

Post by speleobat2 » Sat Nov 06, 2010 8:47 pm

Ancestry.com has just added the NSW Registers of Coroners Inquests 1796-1942.

Lot's of interesting reading there. I found one stray Clerihew  who was worth 1056 pounds or so when she died.

I also found about half a gazillion Munros any one of whom could be related to me! That should keep me out of mischief for a while!

Carol :D
Looking for: Clerihew, Longmuir/Longmore, Chalmers, Milne, Barclay in Newhills,
Munro, Cadenhead, Raitt, Ririe/Reary

Hi Carol

There are often newspaper reports on inquests - if a name is found in the index worth checking the approx times in the NSW newspapers at the NLA site
http://newspapers.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/home

Ancestry is putting many of the NSW archives indexes online - tis making me lazy as I used to have to go out to the library to check the film/fiche. I have a few rather sad entries in the list - a g grandfather with a net worth of 25 pounds - left a widow and 8 children
