NZ Library online databases.

If you live in New Zealand and would like free access to newspaper archives and much more, just check with your local library. If they have subscribed you may be able to access these valuable genealogical resources from the comfort of your own home. Often the acquisition of access to these databases is not advertised and they just appear “out of the blue”.

For example: Auckland Council Libraries have 19C British Library Newspapers, The Scotsman, The Illustrated London News, London Times, Irish Times and much more, as set out here http://www.aucklandcitylibraries.com/Di ... story.aspx

Christchurch City Libraries have a similar range of material. http://christchurchcitylibraries.com/Databases/

Check with your local library. If they don’t have a similar facility just twist their arm.
