HI, William McNicol Reid was born on the 25 01 1897 in Hamilton, Scotland. He married Isabella Sommerville Nicol Reid on the 9 4 1929 in Hamilton, Scotland. He died on 21 09 1962 aged 65yrs. Springvale Botanical Gardens. She was called Isabella Sommerville Nicol Reid and she died on the 26 03 179 aged 79. What was her date of birth and what were her parents called. What was the name of their chidlren and DOB. These are my grans brother and her sister in law. If there are any children where were they born? How can I trace them on any of the websites. There’s a good chance children’s names would be mentioned in newspaper death notices. The Melbourne Age is online for 1962, but most of March 1979 is not. I couldn’t find anything there so perhaps a newspaper closer to where they lived would be more suitable.

Isabella Somerville Reid appears to be on the Australian Electoral Rolls for 1963 at Ancestry. All I can see is Flinders Victoria. I don’t know whether that means the town or an Electoral District. If you know the town of residence you could try asking the local library to send you a copy of the death notices.

Father's Name: Marr George
Mother's Name: Mary Prentice
Registration Year: 1979
Registration Place: Victoria
Registration number: 7418

William is also there - however the registration number is queried - his parents are given as John Robert (Reid) and Mary McNicol. There is also an ancestry link to his British Army Pension record which has information about his war service - he seems to have enlisted before he turned 18 (Oct 1914)
