I just tried it with my lot and it worked very well. The handwriting was pretty awful, I think whoever filled it out was probably a southpaw.

Hi Alan
Sometimes you can be unlucky - first one I checked was copperplate - some others - not so good. The scans seem much more readable than the microfilm at the archives - many of which are negative images - so that is a plus.
