Folks, a newish book by Daniel Gray, "Homage to Caledonia", story of the Scots who fought in Spain, Luath Press, £10, a good read.

It's a brilliant book. Normally it would take me several days at least to get through such a book, but this one was so good that I read it in one 'sitting'.

The only thing that it lacks is a list of the 500+ Scots who were in The International Brigade, altho' many are mentioned by name, and referred to in the index.

It is not a history of the Spanish Civil war, but a history of Scots' involvement.
