And the whole point of this? Just to ram home that a name doesn't necessarily bear any obvious, normal type of relation to what's listed in the registers. Most times it will, but you will come across situations like this, and, probably more frequently, situations where a pet form is adopted but one normally associated with a different forename. I never quite found out why my mother was known as Bunty...........
Didn't anyone think about doing a search in TS, as the QnA are already there in another thread some months ago ?!
