Hi Annie,
Yes, Helen will be in Perth again for the third year on the trot. We always get a great reception at the show, and the locals are always very hospitable when they discover that we've come so far to exhibit.
I shall be hovering about at times with Wee Alex, although weather pending, I'm hoping to get him out and about in the fresh air!
Very best,
Scott
IT'S A BOY!!!.....

Dear TS Honorary Uncles and Aunts,
A brief update on Wee Alex, who is just over seven months old now and thriving. He has turned into quite a character, is outstandingly good natured and very sociable. He crossed the border into Scotland when he was one hundred days old and subsequently grew a full head of red and blonde hair (that shines golden in the sunlight!) He took to the Highland air well, and didn't complain when his Dad toured him around some old ancestral haunts.
Here he is in his favourite shirt! (Hoping this appears in the window - if not: http://www.scottwishart.co.uk/images/rugbytop.jpg )

Helen and I got our nights back just before he turned four months, and the little man sleeps between eleven and twelve hours every night. He wakes up singing in his cot, face beaming, and we race each other to his room to catch the first smiles of the day.
People keep telling us ominously it won't always be this great (thanks!) however we love him so much, we are more than prepared to take the rough with the smooth. It's been a lot of hard work, but undoubtedly the most rewarding thing we've ever done.
Cheers,
Scott

Hi Scott
Ahhh....perfect timing! Just logged in and found this new photie just posted. I don't know what you've been feeding this little man but it certainly does agree with him
My how he's grown
! He's still just a precious as ever and has a bright gleam in his eye yet. Yup....you may have had it easy so far but he'll still break your heart one day. It's all part of the plan
You've got the right attitude though.....love every minute of it no matter what
Keep the updates coming.......we may have to pass the hat and buy the lad a TalkingScot shirt or cap.
Hugs and kisses to Alex...and best wishes to his lucky parents...
Jean

What a wee honey you can see all the mischief in his face.
He looks much older than seven months-I think it's the hair & the alertness.
Enjoy every minute because they are not babies for long & soon he will be grunting at you & moaning that you are "sad"-about 11 or 12 in my experience.
He sounds a dream & yes those first thing in the morning smiles are so special.
Good taste in clothes too!!

Seven months?! It seems like no time since you posted his birth - looks like he loves the shirt, AND the person taking the photo!
Good to see him growing! I guess at this point, the only genealogy he's concerned with are his immediate ancesters - Mum, Dad & the Grands

....and he's now nearly nine months by the time I get round to replying to your messages!
All still going swimmingly well here. We now have three of the four front teeth and a little fellow who three weeks ago looked at his Dad and said 'Daddy' - and then looked at his Mum and said 'Daddy' and of course everything is now 'Daddy'! The other morning he was waving at some kids on the TV and said 'Hello' so the vocab is a little more varied now....
Big smiles all round :D
Cheers,
Scott
P.S. Frances, yes his paternal Grandad is Wee Alex's hero. He absolutely adores my Dad, which is wonderful as he was named after him.

To all TS Honorary Uncles & Aunts,
A brief update on Wee Alex, who at just over ten months old, encountered his first Christmas tree last week: http://www.scottwishart.co.uk/alexxmas
The youngster is doing very well, and I imagine my next update will include news of his first steps independent of the furniture.
Anyway,we are all really looking forward to seeing him tear into his presents next week and suspect that the wrapped boxes will be of more interest than their contents.
Season's greetings to you all,
Scott

Well.....the obvious thing to do would have been to grab the decorations, however Alex decided it woud be more fun to get right in amongst the branches and then spend several minutes trying to stop them brushing against his face. Eventually I had to go in and rescue him before one of the tips went up his nostrils. Needless to say he's been wary of this 'big green thing' since then.DavidWW wrote:
