Hello Denis,
I1ve just been having my usual nosey, looking at the postings, and I noticed that you mention the surname of Tulloch.

Its abit of a long shot I know, but you never know!!

Are your Tullochs connected in any way to Aitkens or the Clark family?
I am connected to the Aitken family through my father & step-father
step-father was Neil Barr Aitken, my father born James McCulloch, later adopted the name of Barr.

The connection to Aitken comes through Robert Aitken=Hanet Clark, she was the daughter of Thomas Clark & Janet Tulloch.
n illegitimate son named FRANCIS ALEXANDER MACKENZIE CLARK eas born to Jessie Clark. His father was SAID to be Robert Aitken

I have not as yet researched very far into this family, too busy with my maternal & paternal at present, but they are there as one of the twigs to be investigated when I have "spare" time (when that will be is another question!!! but if I can add some little bits along the way, I can save them up for later, some documents were amongst George Aitken`s effects (father of Neil Barr Aitken) and made their way into my mother`s bits & pieces, and now I have them.

Hi Maud.

All of my Tulloch line 17th C - 20th C appear to all be Orcadians.
However, there is a Tulloch -> Dow -> Aitkens twig of which the only Aitkens I have is Elizabeth, who married an Archibald Dow date c1827 and a grandchild of theirs Archibald Dow married a Margaret Ann Tulloch in 1889.

Thanks for the information, when I go after the Aitken side, if I see mention of an Elizabeth that may be a link, I`ll get back to you
I have not accumulated very much info on them as yet, so I`ll add this snippet to my notes & see what turns up eventually.
