Marriage Lookup Please

I'm trying to find a marriage for Henry Cragg & Mary Ann Geddes(Guddes,Geddis,Gaddis) app 1846 Scotland I was wondering if anyone knew of records for Gretna Green think that was the right spelling Henry Cragg was born in Eng app 1827 & Mary Ann was born Ire app 1830 any help greatly appreciated

I take it you have already searched SP http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ and didn't find a marriage. GROS has a leaflet on "runaway marriages"

Just more questions

How do you know the year they married was app 1846 ?
Have you searched for any children to this couple ? as you know any births past 1855 should give you a clearer marriage date.

Where and when was their daughter born? Usually on a Scottish post- 1855 birth entry it will state the place in Scotland where the marriage took place and the day and month.

Hi Lesley their daughter Margaret was born in 1861 in Australia all their other children born Cockermouth Cumberland Eng before 1860

Still searching for the date of a marriage I contacted the site that holds the Gretna Green certificate I was interested in asking if they could give me the date of the marriage they have on record they sent me an email back saying that they would do a search for 450-00 app $900-00 Australian for the family don't get me wrong I don't mind paying but I have all the info on these families just need the date so I can purchase the marriage cert if it's the right 1 I emailed them back again explaining what I needed & never heard from them again has anyone got any suggestions on how to find the marriage date I'm looking at 1846 Scotland that is all that's on their daughters birth cert any help would be greatly appreciated

I checked on what I assume is the same site you are referring to and certainly the marriage that comes up: Mary Ann Guddes and Henry Cragg

looks exactly like the one you want. They appear to charge £15 for the full information in the register. I don't understand what the $900 Australian figure you mention is about.
