Interesting marriage.....

Hello.

I've upped a marriage cert for the widower John Skea and his 2nd wife Maggie Ritch. The maiden-names of the mothers has me wonderiing about the pre-marriage kinship of the couple.

Hi Dennis,

Both mothers appear to have the surname Hourie. The Robert Skea - Jane Hourie mariage is on the IGI as a marriage extracted from the records. The Edward Ritch - Isabella Hourie marriage is on the IGI, but as an LDS submission.

Jane[t] HOURIE and Isabella HOURIE were sisters, parents James HOURIE and Elizabeth (Betsy) GARRICK.
