ACCIDENT TO CRIEFF DISTRICT FARMER.
An unfortunate accident befell Mr Forrest, farmer, Abercairny, on Saturday. He had been leading a young horse with a halter, when the animal bolted, and the halter being twisted round Mr Forrest's right hand, it came in contact with a tree, and the force of the animal pulling wrenched off two of his fingers.

There is a cemetery in Crieff called Gallowhill Cemetery, just as you enter Crieff from the South at the End of Ford Road off the A822
This shows the map where it is. It is an Old Ordnance Survey map 1892-1914, but it is overalid on Modern mapping and Satellite imagery,
http://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=17 ... rs=168&b=4
Where it says to change opacity of overlay, slide the little blue dot left and right to show the map or imagery behind, you can also play with different background maps by selecting from the Background map dropdown

Re: FORREST / NAPIER family
Hi there - I came across your post regarding Auchloy Farm near Crieff. I was doing a search myself and found that there had been planning permission to demolish it and rebuild there back in 2006/7. However looking at google maps the house. although in the distance, still looks to be there. The reason I was looking was purely curiosity as I lived there on and off for a few years back in the 80's. If you want to know anything specific about the house, during that time anyway, please let me know.
