I am sorry to report the news of the death of Bruce Irving.

Bruce was chairman of Dumfries and Galloway FHS before becoming chairman of the Scottish Association of Family History Societies (SAFHS) in 2002. Bruce was invited on to the Scotlands People User Group from its inception in January 2003.

His son reports that he had been unwell recently and was diagnosed with cancer about 3 weeks ago, and he died on 8th June.

Thanks for letting us know. How sad and unexpected.
Searching for Keogh, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Riddell, Stewart, Wilson, McQuilkin, Lynch, Boyle, Cairney, Ross, King, McIlravey, McCurdy, Drennan and Woods (to name but a few).

Also looking for any information on Rathlin Island, County Antrim, Ireland.
