I've upped the dc for this fellow on my tree and wondering how somebody in my tree could get to be General Manager Royal Bank of Scotland.

Hi Dennis,

He had an honour bestowed upon him - Knight (K.B.E.) - Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire.

Unusual place of death: St Mary's Cathedral. Broughton Street, Edinburgh. Usual Residence: Woodville, Canaan Lane, Edinburgh.

St Mary's, Broughton Street is the Roman Catholic cathredral. I hope that fits in with the information you have on this family.
