Help to identify WW2 soldier

hello I have a photo of a soldier looks like 2nd WW he is wearing a kilt - jacket has two rifles crossed on the sleeve I can't make out the badge on his hat

any ideas

It might be worth your while trying to upload the photograph to see what some of the TS members make of it.

There have been some problems with the TS gallery, so have a look at the thread about that for some temporary alternative ideas.

Hi Agnes

The crossed rifles on the sleeve is the British Forces (not just army) Marksman's badge

If memory serves me correctly the cameronians were disbanded in 1968 I did not enlist until 1970
