Scottish WW1 General from Pte to General, and his Sword!

Major General Andrew Jameson McCulloch would be viewed as a hero then and now. Wounded 3 times. The book From the Somme to Victory has mentioned him well, taking towns and German prisoners, leading his men against German machine-gun fire. One of the very few men to start as private and end up a general! The best write ups are found here:
