Commonwealth War Graves
Hi all. Not asking for anything but offering. I live north of Inverness and whilst out and about I often see little old graveyards, some with a Commonwealth War Grave sign on the gate. If I spot that, I stop and go to find the grave and take photos of the graves. Many of the graveyards are in fairly out of the way places, not places someone would just happen accross. I wondered if there was a site where they can be uploaded for anyone who may be searching? Or where I can leave a list of names of the men whose graves I have photos of?

There is a website that does exactly that - The Scottish War Graves Project - link below.
http://www.scottishwargraves.phpbbweb.com/
… and its sister site, The Scottish Military Research Group - Commemorations Project
(previously called the Scottish War Memorials Project)

All the best,

Re: Commonwealth War Graves
Hi,
I previously have used the British War Graves site at http://www.britishwargraves.co.uk/ , to get free photos of CWGC headstones for my ancestors, they cover all over the world, and on occassion I have sent them photos from Cemeteries I have visited in Scotland that they may not have. They always appreciate photos.

That’s great, thank you. Will get my photos together to submit to those sites.
