Soldiers Wills.....

I thought that you might be interested to know that WW1 and WW2 soldiers wills will be online soon.

A colleague and I have been busy listing them at work. We are now in the checking stage, i.e. making sure that we have put the correct information on the database, before it goes public.

We think that it will be August before they go public, but as soon as I have a date, I will let you know.

Looking at the date of your post I realise that we have been somewhat remiss not to have said "Thank You" to you and your colleague for your work on the soldier's wills.

I have found one of mine so far and have appreciated the extra information it gives. From reading other posts, I gather that others have had success with the wills too.

The index for the wills can be accessed at the National Archives of Scotland site.
