HMS Orontes.....

Post by maggie » Fri Jun 02, 2006 1:04 pm

Hello
i am seeking information on the voyages of HMS Orontes
and have been googling for info but am having trouble pinning down the correct ship .i have an entry that say's the batallion embarked this day (10th Feb 1887) for conveyance to the strait settlements from DurbanThe regiment concerned was the south lancashire regiment.
Any pointers on where to look for info would be greatly appreciated.
kind regards maggie

Hi Maggie, you might like to try this link:

http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/

This forum covers only military interests, someone here may have an interest in the HMS Orontes, you have to be a member.

I have found them so helpful in the past.
