Wonderful TalkingScot

Post by Russell » Fri Dec 08, 2006 1:30 pm

Hi Vee

Like yourself I came on to TalkingScot as an ordinary poster and got hooked! I had already been a regular on some of the other boards but had not found such a nice bunch of folk anywhere else. Would you believe I have not asked a significant question about my own family tree since I joined, but I haven't needed to. Some of my potential questions have been answered on other threads.
I enjoy the combination of serious research and fun and the uniquely Scottish flavour of it all, and -No! - I,m not an ardent Nationalist and enjoy the multinational flavour we have.
When the site was down last night I suffered withdrawal symptoms and that was only 3-4 hours! Sad person that I am.

By the way, I hope you sang in tune

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TALKING SCOT

The first place I check into almost every day. Is it my imagination or does the site look much better today?

Ah Russell, I could never be accused of singing in tune – I didn’t inherit one iota of musical talent I’m afraid, but it looks like I inherited from somewhere the sheer determination and inability to give up when all roads to success seem impossible! Pity I didn’t have these strengths in my school days!

As for your other sentiments – I wholeheartedly agree! [cheers]

Kind regards.

Vee
