This is not a huge wall crashing down but rather a pat on the back for TS with thanks from me. I was contacted through a PM by Scottygirl56 who joined recently and went on a mosey round TS to see if anyone else was researching her family names.
She came across my thread about George PRINGLE b. 1815, Watchmaker in Denny who was transported to Australia and died there (thanks again Alan). Her interest is in the family of a George PRINGLE b. 1791, watchmaker in Edinburgh married to Ann ROBERTSON. We are sharing info and gently correcting each other's occasional inaccuracies while getting more and more excited as we become closer to verifying that she shares a ggg grandfather with my husband. I am off to Edinburgh soon to plough through police records which we hope may nail the relationship once and for all. Sometimes it may help to have ancestors who wandered off the straight and narrow
From getting rather bogged down in filing, sorting etc, suddenly I am off running again. It feels so good. Thank you, all you kind people who put such a lot of work into keeping TS going. So appreciated =D>
