Well well, yet again another thumbs up to our freely available PAPERSPAST.
While not many researchers will automatically think that the answer will be, or may be, found on the other side of the world, this is proof again that the Colonialists were for ever interested in news copy from home, and many an editor was happy to fill the odd space, with snippets from the HOME press. Rather like my previous comments on the Lloyds' Weekly MISSING FRIENDS column being freely reproduced around the world, in the Colonial papers.
