New Lanark

Post by Falkyrn » Thu Feb 24, 2011 6:57 pm

Can anyone tell me where someone living in New Lanark Village and working in the Mills there, would have been buried upon their deaths ?

(The dates I am looking at are probably pre 1855 but definitely pre 1880)

Thanks.

Hi Falkryn

There is a graveyard marked about 100 yards to the NE of New Lanark, towards the village of Bankhead, on the 6in/mile maps of 1840-80.

Thanks for that - must adjust the blinkers I was wearing as I didn't see that when I last visited

Once again, thank you.
