LANARKSHIRE CREMATORIUM AND BURIALS RECORDS

Post by jjlmary312 » Thu Jul 16, 2015 10:51 pm

Hi
Can anyone clarify this point. I have a relative who died in Lanarkshire but I am unable to find out if they have
been buried or cremated. I have the date of death, where they lived and where they died. I am hitting a brick
wall. Guidance in obtaining the information would be appreciated. They died in 1979.

I assume from your other post you didn't find anything in the newspapers.

Since you have exact details have you tried contacting the council?

Also, have you checked the Catholic records on ScotlandsPeople? I have found surprises in my own research that speaks to a lot of back-and-forth when it comes to religion. It may be worth a try.
