Does anyone know what cemetery one would be buried in if you lived in balintore street shettleston Glasgow in 1937.

There are no hard and fast rules about where you were buried, it depended on a lot of factors.
Where you originally came from [if you'd moved into the city some people preferred to be buried back 'home']
where your family were buried [if there was space in a family lair that would be used]
what religion you were: Catholic or Jewish cemeteries are separate.

Geographically Sandymount is the closest or else the Eastern Necropolis/Janefield.

maybe look on Momenti mori to see if you can see them.

Try the death notices in the Glasgow Herald. The cemetery is often mentioned.

Click on "Browse this newspaper” and you'll find your way there.
