That is very interesting. What is the date on the postmark? I couldn't make it out...
My Blains in Greenock were not the only ones there, but it is intriguing and I'd be very interested to learn more on this. Also, Ardgowan Street rings a bell.

The opening of the Forth Road Bridge was 04-Sep-1964. According to the following webpage the first day covers of the stamps were from that date.

I read the postmark on the envelope in the picture as 15-Feb-1965.
