In theory it should be but in the past there has often been a delay.

On their website Scotlands People state that the release date for the 1921 census is 2021 but the problem is the timescale for digitisation IF the work is currently ongoing then January 2022 appears a reasonable target but if the work is still to be started or is awaiting the actual realease date there may be a considerable delay

The one date that is for sure is the earliest possible date legally - 20th June 2021. The census was for those in the house overnight on 19-20 June 1921, with a 100 year closure put on it.

The ScotlandsPeople webpage that I found gives it as 2021 (no month or exact date given).

However, as Falkyrn pointed out above it may well be later. We all wait in anticipation, and hope that it is work-in-progress now.

All the best,

With the state of the World it would be great if they released any information now as we may not get another chance!
