Post by mcblondie » Tue Dec 12, 2006 1:40 pm

Hi guys,

Just been in spending mega credits trying to locate more info on these two, my head is spinning, think i need a break from it.

Can someone tell me why they are on 1880 US census? but i can't seem to locate them on our 1881 census here in Scotland?

Hi again Katie,

They're definitely in Scotland in 1881!

They're staying at 79 Castle Street, Hamilton under KELLECHAN and looks like their son Micheal might be living a few doors away.

Hi Katie,
Good for you!
Michael has possibly been indexed wrongly as born West Kilbride, Ayrshire
in the 1851 index i looked at, and it should be East Kilbride, Lanarkshire.
That would seem to make more sense as Michael CALLAGHAN 10yrs is in New Monkland 1841.

Hi Katie,

Did you also find the Micheal that might be their their son?

Just noticed he's actually on the page before with yet another spelling - KELLOCHAN this time!
