Am I Alone Or .... ?
Have other researchers noted an increasing number of certificates which were formerly View / Download and paid for via purchased credits but are now "No image Order certificate", cost £10 with an approximate 2 week wait?
If memory serves, View cost 1 credit and Download 5. What, if anything, has ScotlandsPeople done?

Re: Am I Alone Or .... ?
You are partly right: Viewing the search results page used to cost 1 credit and an additional 5 credits to then view/download a specific record. It now costs no credits to view search results and 6 credits to view/download a specific result. So, actually the same cost overall since 1 + 5 = 6.
This 'new' arrangement has been in place for a number of years now. It is actually better value as not having to spend any credits to see the search results actually saves credits in the long run. You can now plug away with multiple search criteria without having to spend anything to see how the results are affected. Plus, quite often just doing an index search will reveal enough information to get supporting evidence for a tree and it literally costs nothing to do this now.
The results which you cannot download are subject to the same rules that they always have been: 100 years for births, 75 years for marriages and 50 years for deaths. This has not changed for as long as i can remember (possibly ever). I don't know if the prices to order a certificate have changed, but I don't think it is unreasonable to expect this to happen occasionally.
