I am trying to find the parents of the above person. I know Mary Thornburn McNicol married a Robert John Reid. Born 1853 and died 1931 Hamilton, Lanarkshire. Thank you in advance for your help.

Where do you get Thorburn as middle name for Mary? There was no Mary McNicol birth registered anywhere in Scotland 1855-1865 with that middle name and no death of a Mary McNicol or Reid with that middle name anywhere in Scotland.
