Once again Geoff B Bailey has come up with a great book of the Falkirk area.
This time he's concentrated on the River Forth during WWII.
Shipbuilding, Refinery, Ship Breaking, Sea Cadets, Grangemouth Docks and General Life & Work are among the topics.
In his usual style he's peppered the facts with names and places of those involved and those he's spoken to in his research.
So lots of scope for geneolgy as well as historical and geographical information for Falkirk Bairns and beyond.
I'm having to read it with an old map and google earth open beside me!
My copy was from the local library.
History and Culture, A place to post a book title.
