The United Presbyterian church - was the same as the Established church or not??

I have a marriage cert that says United Pressie Church.

Thanks Liz

The UP was quite distinct from the Established Church........

The UP Church came into existence in 1847 thru the merger of the Relief Church and the United Secession Church, which then amalgamted with the Free Kirk in 1900 to form the United Free Church ................
