On the 1841 FREECEN this family with 5 Children are there in Aberdour along with an ANN PIRIE aged 20 and a GEORGE SLESSOR 7 mths.
Ann may be Sister to the Mother

Ann is the mother's sister and the George Slessor must have been her son.My gran's mother was a Pirie being Ann and Isabel's niece.Then my gran went and married a Slessor in 1916.My gran's mother also had an illegitamate daughter to a Slessor in 1874.What a mixed up family.

There is a MARGARET MCCARR m Samuel Menagh 07 Aug 1853 Girvan on the IGI. Mayby you've checked this.
