Hi all

A check of Bloxham's key to the OPR's reports this about the condition of Polmont Deaths 1737-1853:

.......Mortcloth Dues 1737-88, No entries 1739-1742. Burials Oct 1783-Sep 1791. No entries Sep 1791 until 1806 when a record of Mortcloth Dues is resumed.

I'm hoping your fellow had the good sense to leave this mortal coil in one of the recorded sections! Good Luck!!

searching for Jacks, Williamsons, Maxwells, Wardlaws, Hardies, Bennies, Kays, Bruce, Sneddon, Dougall and Galloway all mainly Polmont and Muiravonside areas - basically all families from Polmont!!
