Hi,
if a record is showing with the words 'crossed out' after the wife's name on an opr marriage record from 1846 what does this mean? That the wife's name is inaccurate or that marriage was annulled/divorced?
The record image is unavailable to view so would need to order, and pay, to see original doc.
Any advice appreciated.

Re: OPR marriage
Hi Mari,
If the OPR is indexed on ScotlandsPeople, but no image is available, fill in one of their contact forms and ask why. All going well it will result in a fresh scan of the document being made and e-mailed to you.
All the best,
AndrewP
