I was looking for a marriage in Ayrshire 1830-32 for a David Martin & Janet Kilpatrick. This one is in the right part of Ayr - would the name be acceptable

I am trying to prove that the child who died in 1877 was in fact the child of this couple (other researches have said that another Janet Martin was the daughter of David & Janet - I tend to disagree)
Death certificate 1877 MARTIN JANET ROBERTSON F 26 ARDROSSAN OLD /AYR 576/01 0070 gives the parents as David Martin and Janet MS kilpatrick
I think Janet belongs in this family - as the death certificate says married to Adam Robertson & in 1881 5 year old Malcom Robertson is living with grandfather (widow) David
